Show quality or not Kewpie is adorable! I fell in love with Buster's big ears when I first saw him.
Even after looking at Yorkie pictures for the past few years I don't think I could asses a level topline, good tail set, angulation, movement, etc. like our reputable breeders and savvy members can. A good bite and ears maybe. That is why for me if I do decide to find a companion for Buster I will research and find a great breeder whose knowledge, experience, and critical eyes are trained to asses these standards. For me I do understand why people buy dogs unaware, many times it is because they are trusting and believe what misinformation they are being told. I am not disagreeing with the people here that maintain doing your research, that is the wisest course of action. But many people buy things because of how they look cars, furniture, appliances, clothing etc only to find out later that underneath they are crap. People date someone because that person is good looking only to find out later that the person is a jerk. People don't do the research when they are planning on having kids so I can see why many wouldn't when considering a pet. I have have learned a lot from YT and personal research but in comparison most of my friends with pets have done very little research.
