It is very sad that rescues and charitable organizations are targets and taking a hit. I can't keep up with what kind of page a rescue is supposed to have.

Sure! The reason they want us to use our legal names and add as much info as possible to our profile is that FB is selling/sharing this info. Same with Google. I don't personally mind the govt or Coca Cola knowing things about me, but I would like to keep my online activity -- bland and unexciting as it is -- private from my 3rd cousin or the person who sat next to me in homeroom freshman year.
