Well, I took the plunge and got an HP Desktop computer with Windows 8. I didn't get the touch screen as I really didn't have a good set up for the system. I don't mind though cause I have my iPad for surfing. My computer is really more for graphics and financial kind of work.
I cannot believe the speed I have now. It's more than double what I was experiencing. My old computer was so slow that sometimes when I was waiting for a page to load, I could go get a glass of water and come back before it finished loading!!!
I won't have too much of a learning curve either since I'm familiar with microsoft. So all around, I think the pc was my best choice. Plus I won't have to spend an extra $1500 to switch my one program over. That definitely was weighing on my mind.
I've still got a lot of reading and learning to do with the new system but with the speed I've got now, it won't be too much of a chore. Yay!!! Everyone's input definitely made me think of the pros and cons. I really appreciate everyones input. Thanks a bunch!! |
