Doesn't have much to do with size or breed more so temperament and personality of the dog that is already in your home. For any dog to be able to tolerate the biting and jumping and ankle biting of a young pup take a lot of patience. You will just have to work with them and watch them closely making sure that you don't let them show any aggression or unacceptable behavior toward one another.
