Welcome! You may hear from alot of members regarding taking your pup home later than 8 weeks
. I think weighing 1.8 oz at 5 weeks is normal for a pup that is on track to be a 6# adult. He may weigh more or less you can't really guarantee weight but there is a chart on this forum that can give you an estimAte. Rasta weighed around 10 oz at 11 weeks and was the smallest of his litter with an estimated weight of 3#'s. I took him home at a little over 1 lb and I had to be extremely watchful. If you choose to get both or one please have karo syrup or nutrical on hand in case of low blood sugar
I've never had to use it thankfully but you'd rather have it and not need it yknow? Do you have pics? I love seeing pups!
