Both of your fur babies are very cute!! I know you love them both.
My little girl, Remy, LOVES my dh. The boys dogs LOVE me, stuck like glue lol. We both feed, play, walk etc. I do the not so fun stuff like grooming etc. I just think girls love their daddy's... or maybe it is just different personalities love different "parents"
I think smaller dogs are harder to train. Like someone else said they have smaller bladders and just can't hold it too long. I also think a crate or playpen is good, very young puppies can get hurt if they have free run of the house--hard to watch every second.
