Our teacup yorkie, Angel, passed away this past February, and I'm not quite sure how to train an adult dog.

Thanks!!
Grats on your new family member! Why do you feel you were misled?

Most of the time rescues don't know the history of their dogs but any good rescue will be as honest as they can with what they do know. There are unfortunately dishonest rescues out there, but if you adopted your dog on Saturday your girl is still trying to adjust and won't be her normal self just yet.

Train your dog just like you would a new puppy. Even if she was reported to be fully trained, treat her as if she has no training whatsoever. In my experience unless you are very experienced, it will take a month for a dog to fully adjust to their new home.

Hope that helps!
