Default You can HELP on a great project or two

http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...-research.html

I posted this in the Health forum. But this forum gets the bulk of the traffic and views, so I thought I would reach out here, to all those folks who love and are passionate about the Yorkie breed. We call those folks "fanciers" of the breed.

There are many exciting genetic research projects going on, that could benefit our breed, by locating the genetic markers and developing an accurate genetic test for conditions that affect our breed.

It is really quite easy to take a "buccal" swab to submit to this foundation for eventual testing. Buccal is a mouth swab. It only would take minutes of your time, and who knows maybe in 3yrs or in 5 yrs, we could have a better understanding of inherited genomes for cataracts, for epilepsy, for Leggs Perthes, etc.

Please take a moment to goto the foundations site, which is linked in the thread I posted. Thank you for your time, and I hope all who love this breed as much as I do, can contribute.
