Our surgeon and physical therapist (for the dog) showed us how to just about force Pixi to use her leg. they said little dogs who have the surgery often refuse to use the leg. One thing we were taught to do for her was massage. We massaged her front shoulders round in circles to relax her spine because the spine is stressed with the three leg walking thing. We lured her a lot with different treats to make her walk on soft things like the bed. She wasn't allowed to jump for 6 weeks and that was wicked hard! |
