I hope your next two on your right eye will be just as successful. I loved hearing you describe being able to see Tibbe. Just the sparkle in Katie's eyes uplifts me a great deal, so I understand how you are feeling. My eyes are not as good as they were, and I can't seem to adjust well to reading glasses. Using my Kindle and Ipad has helped that, but I also have to read so many textbooks, so I still read lots of traditional books. Rest up, and please feel better. |
Tibbe is asking for his kibble treats and has played quite a bit today! I'm so thrilled but can't stop watching him for any sign of anything so we can get to the vet before they close. So far so good.
EYESIGHT is awesome!!! I'd gotten to the point I didn't watch much but news shows and Dateline, mystery type shows and things with a good narrative where watching didn't much matter but today I'm watching DIY, cooking, travel channel, movie channels and even looked in the ? Kardashian show - have never seen that but it was in Greece and the scenes were glorious!!! I've been missing so very much that life has to offer with those old eyes.
Lisa, get in to see your doctor and see if there is ANYTHING to be done to help your eyesight. Had I known before a couple Thursdays ago that I had developed such a bad problem, I would have done this forever ago. I was so scared yesterday before surgery as I had known just excellent eyesight after cataract surgery/lens implants but apparently it did start to go south with the clouding of the posterior capsule soon afterward now that I think back. But I think I must have always had some posterior capsular clouding as even the cataract/new corrective lens implants didn't give me this kind of extremely detailed or color-sensitive vision. This is like watching HDTV over regular TV all the time. This kind of vision is something you'd dream of if you knew it was out there - but I didn't. You only know what you experience and have no idea that there is something way, way, way, way, way better until you have it. If I were a wealthy person, I would immediately send my eye surgeon a $1,000,000,000.00 check as a bonus just for giving me this time. It may not last to this degree of clarity and color and there could be complications down the road from this surgery such as a detached retina and some other things but I would have lost vision without the surgery in a year or so so I had no choice; but golly, for the time being, this is just incredible! I just had no idea what I was missing in life! Colors are so deep, bright, things so clear, detailed, words on pages are
easy to read and pop out. I wonder if most people see like this and always have? Even as a young person I never saw things like this. I'd sure encourage anyone not seeing all that great to get to the eye specialist and get checked out. Sure hope it can last.
