I have been reading all of the posts on here and maybe I am the odd one when I say I bathe JuneBug once a month. He is a Biewer with a soft, curly coat. I keep it very short and get him groomed every 8 weeks. I brush him every day or every other day. I am also concerned that if I bathe him more often, his topical flea & tick treatment will not last as long. I have a system that he gets groomed then he gets his topical treatment (Vectra 3D) and his heartworm. Then I bathe him in 4 weeks when he is due his heartworm and then his topical again. Then in another 4 weeks he gets groomed again, etc, etc. It's more like a schedule.

With many of you bathing your dogs so often, what do you use for flea & tick protection? I live in the northeast and would never go without.
