My lawyer is our families lawyer. He couldn't do much but suggest. Since he had client privilege my parents were not allowed to be a part of the decision to bring the department to court either. All my lawyer could do was tell me my options at that point I had been through so much I couldn't imagine going through anything else. Hence my apprehension in getting the police involved any father.
