Hi Karen, thanks for your response! yes, I have used a harness from day 1...don't want to hurt that tiny little neck! Have tried your suggestion before, but it seems this little man just wants to be the boss. Treats don't interest him at all..it seems he just will not walk till he's good and ready to! (yes.....spoiled rotten!) He definitely is "my baby", and I treat him as such (isn't that what having a yorkie is all about?)
So I guess I was just looking for some more tips to try and break this cycle I've created at walk time
