I think it depends on the person and how they were brought up. I can tell you if my Grandmother was still alive she would be applaud if a lady was in a 2 piece bathing suit and she was pregnant! Come to think of it if she was alive in this day she would be applaud on so many things LOL.
It isn't wrong or right if you think it is out of line.
