Yes, the retained teeth need to come out to allow the adult teeth to come in properly and prevent tooth decay. If she hasn't been spayed yet, it can be done at the same time so she only has to go under anesthesia once.
If you just got her, I wouldn't switch her kibble yet. I would try moistening it with water to soften it a bit t see if that helps, then slowly transition her to something else. |
She is a year old.
The vet has said that we needed to start transitioning her to a new food due to some colitis issues. We have her on the Artemis kibble and Nutro Natural Choice Limited Ingredient canned. She seems to be doing very well on them and her diarrhea issues have subsided today.
She will be scheduled for a spay after her 3 week vaccination booster shots in September.
