I saw a pic on Instagram that a lady had posted, she does not live in the U.S, and she was excited that her puppy was born silver. I posted a comment to her that she may want to get that newborn to a vet and that it may be a blue born. She replied that she had seen a couple vets and that she was told blue borns do not survive the womb?!?!?
I know there are some members on here with blue borns so that is obviously not true.
I want to educate myself and I guess be able to point that lady to YT if she is grossly misinformed. I believe she lives in South America, I will have to check.

Blue borns have a genetic defect in a coat color gene that renders them more susceptible to premature baldness and skin issues, but they don't always develop the skin and hair problems, and the defect is not lethal. See the discussion in this thread:
