I have concerns which I did see in the FAQs. Our Yorkie is new to us and yet is 9 years old. He has medium length hair that is black on his back & sides and the rest is the rusty brown color. We, & the vet, noticed that his hair tends to have an oily feel and a bit of an odor - even though I bathe him weekly. We do not know why since we don't know the previous owner. He also has hair loss on his lower back, which I see is probably from an allergy. He bites at it, scratches it, & rolls on his back. I'm hoping the new oatmeal & aloe shampoo will help. I just made him a light coat too. We're wondering if this will be good enough, and, how long it may be before his hair grows back in. Lastly, his face seems narrower than the typical pictures we've seen. We've no way of knowing if he has another breed mixed in, yet are curious about it. Being seniors on SSI, we cannot afford many vet visits and are eager to learn all we can do on our own. Roscoe Liam is a great, well trained, mild mannered dog. Any advise will be greatly appreciated.
