The vet sent home anti-biotic and pain meds. I have given him both everyday as directed. I've learned that these babies can be in pain and not let it show like humans. Are you giving him an anti-biotic? That may have something to do with his upset stomach. I would also try boiling a chicken breast and adding some of shredded pieces to the rice and maybe just a tiny bit of the broth. He will likely lick up the broth, getting some liquid in him, and eat some food. Of course, the canned pumpkin should be fed also.
Please call your vet the first thing in the morning and let us know how he is doing. I was a nervous wreck the day of Jasper's surgery. I can't imagine going through what you are right now. I will be praying his tummy gets better quick and he starts to heal. Please let us know what the vet says. We all love our pups here and care so much for everyone elses, too. We will worry and are there with you in thought,. |
Thank you so much for your concern! His stool is still loose but seems to be improving. Our vet said another day or so and he should be better!
