Default suki can jump out of her playpen!

We keep Suki in a child's playpen when we can't be with her monitoring her movements. Tonite, while we were getting ready for bed, we put her in her playpen to settle down for bedtime. Before we knew it, she had somehow jumped out and was running all over the place. This is where she has been sleeping. And this is where we put her when we have to leave the house. Now, we are at a loss. Does this mean her days of the playpen are over and we should put her in a crate? We initially tried the crate method, but she throws up in it--it is so restrictive. Please advise!

thanks!

We could partition off the laundry room for a bigger space. Maybe that is the answer for when we leave the house? What about at nite? She has been in the playpen next to my daughters bed. She'll (daughter and Suki) will not like being separated!
