Carrageenan, if it's going to be in pet food, will be in the canned & rolls. It's in a lot of processed people food too! Like cottage cheese, ice cream, turkey luncheon meat, soy milk, yogurt, the list goes on & on. I threw out all the above that was in our fridge after reading the ingredients & they all had carrageenan in it! If we eat all those foods w/carrageenan in it everyday, it will have a very negative affect on our health. My mom has knee problems from rheumatoid arthritis & carrageenan was making it worse. After getting rid of all the food w/carrageenan in it, (which she consumed everyday) her knees have been good! No more flare ups after having them 2-3 x's a week. She even got a brace for her knee from her doc but she has yet to use it!

Here's a list I made awhile back that has no carrageenan in it for dog food, hope it helps. If you have cats, it also applies to them.:
