Yes, I can tell she is in pain. She is not rambunctious like normal. I can just giver her tramadol or the Nsaids as needed for now.
I am hoping things turn out as everyone says. Everyday I promise her, it is going to get better...like she understands me.
Judging from the x-ray I saw, I think she must be miserable and it breaks my heart. It makes sense once I see how they cover the top of the bone with the outer joint capsule which makes for a smooth gliding surface. It just is a little archaic in the human world. One of the docs I work with said, well, we weigh a lot more and walk on only 2 paws.
I showed him a pic of the x-ray and he said he would get the surgery done, either that or the hip could potentially fuse with arthritis. I try not to worry, but I do. One day at a time. |
