I do believe in spirits lingering around the people who are not ready to let them go.
Every single time we go back to my BF's hometown (Nederland, TX) to visit, there are these canals by his parent's house. When we drive past them at night, I always feel like I can see someone, out of the corner of my eye, standing in the water in the canal. Obviously nothing is there when I turn to look, but I can see them out of my peripheral vision and they don't go away as long as I don't turn my head to look. It's always a girl with long hair and a white dress. I know, that sounds literally crazy lol.
What really freaked me out was that I had not told anyone about it yet, and Tony's mom told me a story about how one time, she and Tony were taking a walk around the neighborhood one evening and she saw a big black trash bag floating in the water, which she said looked very suspicious and she just had a *feeling* that it was a dead body. She turned around and brought him home, then called the police. Don't know what came of it though. Keep in mind I had seen the girl before I heard this story, and she didn't know I had seen it. I didn't mention it because I was so freaked out!!! I see her EVERY time we pass that canal! She just stands there and watches us drive past. |
