Colors do change as they get older. He has a totally white face? That is kind of unusual. I have seen them get white spots on the top of their head above the eyes but a totally white face is different.

Generally pups start to get their adult coats at around 10 months of age. They can have some shading changes though.

I have always found that some good fast paced walks help get a dog's bowls to move. Getting the heart rate and lungs moving help move everything else along. They tend to like to pee more when out walking as well.

Don't know how I would have survived Gracie's puppy months without some good long walks and games of fetch to help with the potty training and the energy level.
