What are you feeding him, how often? What milk are you giving him? If you are giving him regular cow's milk or the milk replacer you buy at the store, you are doing more harm than good. If he is eating the food well, eliminate the milk altogether because really he shouldn't have any at this point. If you are feeding soft or canned food he probably won't drink much because he is getting hydrated from the food.
You should keep food and water
down for him at all times or make sure he has food available every few hours and is eating that often as well. Make sure his stool is a firm consistency and not watery or runny. He should act alert and interested when awake. Gums should be pink.

At that age they do sleep a lot. He should be playing a little bit for a short amount of time (about 10 minutes a session) but again the majority of his time will be sleeping. Once he gets a little older you will miss that sleeping part, lol.

Make sure he is nice and warm. After he is done eating, playing or waking up you can take him to the potty pad.
You can put the crate on your bed at night but make sure he has a pad and food in it as he does need to be eating often.
