I have grandpuppys, they stay at my house. I have tried to make sure that the training style and commands are the same across the board for the entire family. The only time here that a dog is told to do something by someone else is if the owner is out of the room. My niece's husband trains dogs....big dogs... he has used collars for handles on my dogs, they scream like you are killing them. I told him that it is a necklace and if he isnt dragging his wife across the floor by her jewelry, not to do it to the furbabys. I did take the time to explain that in small dogs you can crush their traecha. That little dogs in many ways are different than big dogs, he actually listened. He is now training a few small dogs, yorkies none the less. He is able to see the little guys in a different lite and is becoming a great trainer. As for strangers,Mina is never far enough away from me for someone else to have a chance to give her commands. Dont think I would care for it much. |
