I think it will be luck of the draw. Its also possible a second dog can be the "starter" if she is a barker. I have two guinea pigs. Separately they were more friendly but together they act like scaredy cats. I feel you wont know until you get her. I notice you can kind of tell the calmness of the puppy/adult dog when you see them. Or if in doubt ask the breeder.
