He slept in the crate all night beside our bed last night. Had no clue where he was or what was going on. Took him to vet this morning and she said his incision looked excellent. He is on Rimadyl for pain and I am to continue giving him Simplicef antibiotic until his stitches come out.

He is almost back to his ornery self. The little stinker is SO fast I can't always catch him when he tries to jump up on the couch or down and the doggy stairs are there. He won't use them. I'm wondering if it hurts more to climb two steps as opposed to one short jump. He has been resting and sleeping all evening.

One thing that concerned me is when he goes out to pee, he will dribble and then stand there straining to pee. So I called the vet to make sure that was normal and she said as long as he pees and then stands there it is fine. She said he has "a lot going on down there" and that he's probably still a bit inflamed and not sure what's going on down there. He stands there a long time while he pees. He did pee a little bit on the pee pad sometime tonight and there was a little bit of blood but was told that's to be expected. Now a couple of the stitches above his penis are pink but she said that might happen as well. So all in all he's doing very good I think.

He is now on Hills K-9 renal kibble and treats. She said we might have to change it once we get his stone results back.

THANK YOU YT'ers for caring and asking about Toby. He's a very special little guy to me like yours are to you.
