A true hybrid would be, say, a wolf crossed with a dog: hybrid = two different species! ie horse + donkey = mule/hinny (depending on who the sire is).
Yorkie + Maltese = Crossbreed (or F1 if you prefer) (aka Morkie to make folks pay more!)
F1 + F1 = MONGREL!!!!!!!!
And as to F2, F3 and F4's......just even MORE mixed-up mongrels
Lovely dogs in themselves BUT don't give them a fancy name and an even fancier price tag
As I said earlier, there's over 350+ perfectly good pedigree dogs so SURELY there must be the right breed for everyone
There's just no need to continue breeding more for money.....nothing else!
How folks can sleep at night KNOWING they are deliberately breeding all these mongrel puppies - especially if they deliberately go for smaller and smaller sizes - when there are MILLIONS of perfectly healthy mongrels & crossbreeds in shelters all around the world who would love a home. God, give these rescue dogs a silly name if you will but DON'T encourage the breeding of more by going to these greeders who prey on idiots with fat cheque books!
