Vets are educated in general health care of dogs and things that go with general dog health or there specialty but they are unable to know about every single breed and what is best for them as far as breeding minus the general things so they normally go with what the breed's club says. I have been told by a vet when it comes to what is best by each breed the breeders know best and there club knows best.
