Training to stay at the door is important, but it isn't 100% reliable, especially when humans fail to give the command (like my dad did). We put up baby gates to block access to the halls that lead to the doors. It's a nuisance (and great exercise) stepping over them, but the security is worth it to me. |
Me too!! I do not want mine to get anywhere NEAR a door that leads to the outside front yard....My back yard is fenced and crossed fence....inside my home is fenced and crossed fenced.....Not anything that would get me a positive review in "House Beautiful", but my babies are safe and can not "slip" out of anyplace!
