Default Awful conformation in yorkie...

My husband and I recently adopted our second yorkie, a little two year old male we've named Sonar. After never having any health problems with our older yorkie, Radar, little Sonar has awful allergies some of the worst conformation I've ever seen. We live in an area where I've seen a lot of irresponsible breeders... anyway, in layman's terms, he's bowlegged. He doesn't seem to be in pain, but he doesn't like jumping up into the car or up on the bed like our older yorkie. I'm worried about joint problems now and in the future. What preventative measures can I take and what do I need to be doing now?
Sorry if this has already been a topic- I'm new here!
