I have never vaccinated for Lyme and live in a heavy lyme area where 90% of dogs test positive for it. My dogs have never thrown a positive. I know two dogs who were vaccinated and they got the disease anyway. I will never vaccinate for lyme I think it is a waste of money and an unnecessary provocation of their immune systems for no real benefit. Lyme disease is painful, and if a dog is limping or joints ache, the first thing always run here is a lyme test. Treatment is easy with a course of doxycycline.
