I don't know the circumstances of the owner of this little one in question, but I do know that Save A Yorkie would never steal a dog! They have their hands full saving the little ones who are turned over to them!
I hope the situation works out for little Tiki and his owner. I hope she will take the advice and help offered to her, for his sake.
Donna, so glad you called Tiki's foster Mom to find out what was happening.
And bless the foster mom for being forthcoming and answering questions. Also, thank you for posting here. Truly, everyone here only wants to help.
The founder of Save A Yorkie rescue is actually a member here at Yorkie Talk, though I have not seen her post since I joined earlier this year.
In closing, I hope the reputation of such an wonderful organization as Save A Yorkie Rescue has not been damaged. They truly are a wonderful group of people who care for Yorkies above all else. That is something that both Yorkie Talk members and Save a Yorkie Rescue have in common. |
you know it was not until Marilyn posted on this thread that I realized I had spoke to her before. She was in desperate need of finding someone to do a home visit in the Bronx. I was trying to help her by reaching out to a lot of my contacts in NY. The pup was older and she was agonizing on how to place it because the situation sounded good on the phone but she could just not let the dog go out without knowing more about who would be getting the pup. I felt bad because I could not find anyone willing to go to the Bronx, but had respect for her for trying so hard. I often wondered what ever happened with that. I am glad to hear that you have had a nice experience with them. I look forward to hearing more about Callie.
Rescue groups rely heavily on their reputation and that is another reason why I disclosed some of the less than ideal conditions the dog was in, I wanted people to realize that they were not holding on to the dog just to prove a point or make a quick buck
