1. The last time I had contact with new member finblonde60 was when she was nice enough to call me back to tell me after speaking with the founder of the rescue group the dog would be returned and vet bill would be paid, that was about 10 min after I called her demanding to know why they would not return the dog.
2. I mentioned that I had read this from YT and many people were not happy. I never gave her info on how to join or asked her to join
3. I have not contacted her or asked her to post here or for more of the story.
If you read back a page or so you will see a post made by a YT member talking about the retraction I believe that post was made by the founder or one of the directors of the rescue group. Perhaps if you were not so eager to jump on me you might put two and two together and realize that the thread is most likely being discussed among the members of the group.
I made a call to help an older lady regain her dog, I found out there was more to the story and I gave it to you. How come the OP never came back in the midst of things to say I am discussing things with Save A Yorkie and that they are talking to my vet.
You might say she is not computer savvy I agree but she still posses the basic skills on how to start a thread asking for help, as she did in the only two subjects she has been involved on YT. |
I don't know why anyone would jump on you Donna or if your perceiving it that way. I commend you for taking the steps, I even suggested it to another member. Had I made the call (I couldn't at the time) to the Rescue the only thing I would have done different than you would have been to say: "I talked to someone at the Rescue, I assure you things are being worked out between both parties and any details of that would have to be shared by them". I would not have given the detail that you did. But that is me. The new poster made it "sound" as if you directed her here, but I was GLAD you had. I had hoped she would make same statement to clear, or should I say clean this up a little bit.
KJC is right in her post mostly....I think that many mistakes were made by both parties in this matter, in the heat of the moment I'm sure. I hope that the Rescue takes some knowledge from this experience as well. I admire them for what they do and am sure they are on to the next pup, lord knows their work is endless. I would hope in the future they aren't so willing to divulge such details about anyone but....
at the same time I am glad OP came here and am glad that a resolution was found, thank you again Donna for helping to bring about a resolution and hopefully some changes in procedures, because clearly there were some mistakes made on both ends. The posting of the pup for adoption being the major one...anyway, I don't want to discredit them they are awesome and are well known for their work and dedication.
