I'm sure as the OP posted here in a panic about not getting her dog back, that she is truly sorry for anything said in a negative light about the rescue organization. Anyone would feel the same way, IMHO. With high emotions, it's very easy to misunderstand things that anyone says to you, whether it's from a vet or from a Rescue. Whether those were her words or not, it makes no difference to me, the meaning is the same.

I can understand the Rescue wanting a retraction of her original post.... leaving a bad review is never good for business. So to request a correction is no big deal.

As for LP and vets... rescues normally have the dogs vetted before placement, so for this dog's LP to be so bad as to require surgery now is something I would be questioning. Also a second opinion with a specialist is recommended. Some vets do perform reduced pricing or free services to rescue organizations... in my heart I truly wonder if the OP wasn't being taken advantage of by a unscrupulous vet.

I have spoken to Marilyn of Save A Yorkie, though it was 3 or 4 years ago. I will say she sounded like a very passionate and loving person, who would do anything for any unfortunate pup, not only a Yorkie. Kudos to her and her group for the endless work they do!
