I would! I'd scream it loud and attempt to get my dog back under those circumstances, assuming I have all of the story. Sometimes the poor must feel rather desperate and probably feel they are being priced out of the privilege of owning a dog. It is so very sad that dogs may soon become in some way tantamount to luxury items due to costs of veterinary care.

But that terse and leading statement outlining what was about to come in the way of a retraction from a senior citizen of limited funds and stuck in a terrible Catch 22, did make me wonder if it were all that spontaneous a retraction. Otherwise, just graciously and patiently wait until your grateful client posts her voluntarily, heartfelt retraction and take your bows.
