IDK, seems like some kind of extortion and not making her go through all of that seems much kinder to an older person who was clearly overwrought, scared and distraught over her dog and shame for lack of funds. I'd have thought better of them if they hadn't made her do that. I think we can all read between the lines and didn't need her to have to go through that to figure out pretty near what happened. Just that rep of theirs talking to the vet and getting the deal they did for her told me a lot of good about them until they made her do the retraction. That was OT under the circumstances.
