If you have to leave your dogs in the room unattended (which I would advise against if they are potential barkers), use the pen to block access to the door to your room, or pen the dogs. This is in case staff enter the room, the dogs won't bolt. Put the "do not disturb" sign on your door too.

Usually pet friendly hotels require you to leave a mobile phone number with the front desk if you have pets with you.
