Of course! I'm not saying that this will cure you baby's cough, but you can ask your vet about Cefovecin Sodium Antibitoic Injection. If I remember correctly, Cefovecin is not specifically for respiratory infections...I could be wrong, but believe it's actually for skin infections. But my vet told me that the antibiotic properties would help with the respiratory infection. Momo (my Morkie rescue) was given 2 injections - one on 8/21 & another on 9/6. Each injection was $75 (NYC prices). Her white blood cell count declined considerably after this treatment. We also had chest xrays, tracheal aspiration & various cultures done. We were not told that my poor little baby was sick & had already been hospitalized prior to us bringing her home at 12 weeks. If I would have known, I probably wouldn't have forced her to go through so much. I also would have been aware to be extra cautious with her. But for some bizarre reason, the rescue organization failed to supply me with this information. ??? Looking back at these medical records brings back so many bitter memories. We almost lost her.

Sorry. Just venting for a second. Anyway, even with the injections, it took many months before she was back to "normal". Respiratory infections love to linger on forever. Since she was so young & so sick, I took her in for frequent follow ups. Her WBC count continued to decline. So I know that the injections did help her body fight off the infection. Regarding the cough & spitting up, Momo would cough a lot with frequent spitting up just like your little pup. The sound of her gagging made me feel so bad for her! In fact, she's still a cougher. It's just something we've learned to live with. I know it's frustrating to see your little one so uncomfortable. I feel your pain. Good luck!! Keep us posted!!
