I have brought her to the one room in my house with air conditioning. Its about 90 degrees outside. We dont do AC for environmental reasons but we do have an AC in the attic that we use on rare occasions. She seems to be doing a bit better with the AC but she has vomited since she has been in the AC as well. I was told not to feed her anything and keep up with the water. The vet didnt mention anything about pedialite what are your thoughts on that? I will obviously be taking her to the ER if anything else happens but the ER is 3X the cost as the vet so anything I can do to help her hold out till then would be great. She is still having bowel movements and as far as temperment she is pretty normal. She has been on Rymdal for almost a week now and this is the first episode. I obviously wont be giving it to her tonight ir in the AM since she is vomiting anyways and probably wont be able to hold it down. |
Oh man poor baby! Peanut is really heat sensitive too. I would defiantly give her some pedialite!! You can also stick a toothpick in an ice tray, then pour some pedilite in there- freeze them. It makes pedialite Popsicle. This worked really well for Peanut and he was sick a couple months ago. It was just a little bug, but he wasn’t drinking as much as he should- he loved to lick them and he was able to get hydrated from it!!
Hope she gets better soon it is so scary when they are sick.
