I wanted to make a post reminding everyone to ALWAYS check with your vet before giving over the counter medicine like benadryl especially if your dog takes other medicine. We took Sammy to the vet for a bump and my mom mentioned to the vet he was rubbing his face well she suggested benadryl and my mom reminded her Sammy was taking medicine daily for his Collapsing Trachea (sorry can not remember the name) and the vet went and looked up if they could be taken together and found they could not or they could really slow his breathing down which wouldn't be good. So always ask your vet about any medicine and make sure they know what meds you baby is taking.
