Gracie stayed home today because of the oppressive heat and humidity. We were home by the time it got dark. Could just barely hear the fireworks off in the distance because the windows are closed and the AC on. She walked over to the windows a few times to check out the uncommon sounds but we acted like nothing was happening and she soon forgot about it and went back to her normal routine.
We have had more than our share of thunder storms lately. She is curious about the noise but she watches her human's reactions and so far we have convinced her we can't hear a thing so she forgets about it after a while and pays no attention to the noise. I hope we can keep this up so she never develops the fear of loud noises one of our other dog's had. |
