Glad Crystal is back to her normal self It's lovely being near the coast, isn't it - we are only 4 miles or so from it and on hot days I always head that way as most of the time it's a lot more bearable than heading inland |
I sometimes think we forget how beautiful it is to fall asleep to the sound of surf. The Sea is a constantly changing landscape and the accompanying background of sky with the scenery of the clouds is fabulous. My air con was for 6 rooms, the manufacturer is Fujitsu and it cost £4k installed three years ago. How I managed without it for 9 years I don't know! In the winter it doubles as heating and we now only use gas for hot water. We have brilliant insulation and the three floors below us all elevate their heat to us. In this way we can use the heat function very selectively in the winter, as each room has it's own remote control. I'd never bother with traditional C/H again if I was custom building. The quality of life you get in these days of increasing temperatures and worse, humidity is simply stunning.
