I love flower gardens. Who else gardens here? I would love to see some pictures of your flowers or others gardens that you are growing.

I have many different plants/shrubs in my gardens for various reasons. Example: my love for my lilac bush and peonies are because they will always remind me of my favorite Grandma. My butterfly garden began when I got married and a friend gave me my first butterfly bush as a wedding gift....it has been giving back ever since. The rose gardens grew out of the love my Mom had for them. I am not fond of orange, but there is one orange lily in one garden, it was my dearest sisters favorite color.....every time I see it, memories of her sweetness rush at me....it makes me smile.

There is one plant beside the lone orange lily that I love. It does not flower, has no unusual colors bursting from it, nor does it boast of a heavenly scent. This plant is many years old, yet continues strong. It does not need much, but thrives. I received a couple of "babies" from this plant from my Dad & Mom years ago from their big Hen n Chick plant in their back yard. My Daddy loved to garden and passed that love down to me.

When I brought the baby Hen n Chicks to plant them, I didn't care much for them. That was probably 17 years ago now. Daddy passed in 1999 and Mom last year......I wouldn't trade that plant for anything now.
