YT 2000 Club Member | Gardening I love flower gardens. Who else gardens here? I would love to see some pictures of your flowers or others gardens that you are growing. I have many different plants/shrubs in my gardens for various reasons. Example: my love for my lilac bush and peonies are because they will always remind me of my favorite Grandma. My butterfly garden began when I got married and a friend gave me my first butterfly bush as a wedding gift....it has been giving back ever since. The rose gardens grew out of the love my Mom had for them. I am not fond of orange, but there is one orange lily in one garden, it was my dearest sisters favorite color.....every time I see it, memories of her sweetness rush at me....it makes me smile. There is one plant beside the lone orange lily that I love. It does not flower, has no unusual colors bursting from it, nor does it boast of a heavenly scent. This plant is many years old, yet continues strong. It does not need much, but thrives. I received a couple of "babies" from this plant from my Dad & Mom years ago from their big Hen n Chick plant in their back yard. My Daddy loved to garden and passed that love down to me. When I brought the baby Hen n Chicks to plant them, I didn't care much for them. That was probably 17 years ago now. Daddy passed in 1999 and Mom last year......I wouldn't trade that plant for anything now. What are your favorite flowers in your gardens and why....please share pics.

| I love gardening too! We have really increased our garden this year. It includes: Echinacea, irises, daffodils, lilies, brown eyed susans, dahlias, trumpet vines, wisteria, clematis, honeysuckle, mums, periwinkle, 32 rose bushes, tropicana, several types of succulents, hostas, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, grapes, corn, a couple pokey cacti, delphinium, daisies, geraniums, peonies, bleeding hearts, hydrangeas, rose of sharon, and several other plants I'm forgetting the names of. We like variety and lots of color. I really should go take pictures of the garden this summer... Here are some of our roses:

| I have hybrid tea roses and that's it. They are nothing like your gardens, but I do love them dearly. I always tell my husband if he's going to buy me roses, it better be a bush. I do enjoy container gardening as well. I tend to purchase unusual plants, I love to make my own arrangements...it can sometimes take me days, to decide which plants I want where.

| I love gardening but we put in a pond that takes up most of our backyard so I do mostly watergardening. I do have some ground around the pond bordeering it. I have a couple small japanese maple trees, some sedum, some butterfly bushes, some various honey suckle, clematis, and I have potted flowers. I have chicken and hens in pots. The rest are water plants that grow in the pond and stream area and outside of it. If you want to see pictures I will try to find a link to my pond thread. Its a little overgrown right now need to go clear it out a little
