I can say that after speaking with someone who HAS been to an Amish Farm or Kennel or whatever they call them - and reading tons of information on the net about them - that they are MOSTLY ALL PUPPYMILLS !
Don't let a nice website fool you.
(how are they even on the net with no electricity ???) Oh Wait - it makes them MONEY so I guess they make an exception)
They believe dogs are no better than cattle and treat them like LIVESTOCK - leaving them outside in cages etc.
The Amish are VERY WELL KNOWN for having very bad conditions ....and IF I were you - I would stay WAY CLEAR of them.....I only say this to prevent you from heartbreak - I hope one day that they can ALL be shut down but that's just a nice dream and probably won't happen but if you buy a dog from them - then you are just keeping them in Business.....PLEASE think this through ...there are lots of good breeders out there that I'm sure you can find a nice yorkie thru and GOOD LUCK !! |
