Poor dog.
I understand when emergencies come up, etc.... you do what you gotta do. But to be an every day thing, very sad. I've left Jax for up to 8 hours before but it's not something I like doing, and won't do often, only when necessary. He does not use pads but he is good about holding it, but of course I don't prefer to make him hold it for that long.
But yes a dog walker or doggie daycare would be a good option.
