When we had our last dog Tina I just plainly REFUSED to take her shopping with me. My husband didn't understand then just how quickly it can affect a dog until I showed him a magazine article and then he was absolutely horrified
And this is in the UK where 20-25C is hot!!! I used to take Tina to the beach at 6.30am and again in the late evening about an hour before dusk...and even then it would occasionally be quite warm so I would encourage her to go swim in the sea
When I get my Yorkie she will never be left alone in the car, whatever the weather! It's just not worth the risk of overheating (or freezing in winter?) or being stolen
