Yes, I agree with them wanting to over vaccinate. When I first got my baby, I took him there for a checkup(Using their free coupon). My baby was vaccinated from his breeder when I got him. They said that since it was not a vet that the breeder may have not handled the vaccine properly therefore it would be ineffective. They recommend that he should be vaccinated again that day ( he was just vaccinated the day before) . He was only 1.6 pounds. I told them I needed to think about it and will get back to them. So I took him into my regular vet, and she said NO, since he is so tiny, that she does not recommend vaccinating again until 2 weeks later. She states that even if the vaccines were ineffective, she does not want to take the chance of overvaccinating him since he's so tiny. I trust my local vet. I feel that banfield is too commercialized.
