Agree completely. We need to protect our dogs but also respect that hawks and predator birds have a role in the environment. I had a hawk siting recently. I installed a fake owl that my vet recommended and I hung 2-3 foot long metallic streamers in my trees. I found some at the local garden store. The streamers are actually attractive but the owl will take some getting used to but as long as it works the owl can stay.
One of my neighbors just called to say she saw foxes!
